Fees & Rates
Initial Assessment/Intake $276
60 minutes
Individual or Family Session $234
60 minutes
Group $35/each

Sliding fee scale: Reduced cost sessions are offered, but limited to a few slots.
**Rate increase as of January 1, 2022 to make similar as the local mental health agencies and cost of living increase**
Please pay known fees and copayments at each session. A lapse in payment may cause a lapse in services or cancellation of future appointments until the balance is paid or payment arrangements can be made. If this is the case I will provide you with other therapist/agency names and contact information
Some of the more common fees include: $100.00 per hour for sessions exceeding 60 minutes-prorated, $25.00 per 15-30 mins telephone communication (brief conversations under 15 minutes are expected and no fee is charged).
Missed appointment fee $50.00 for any canceled appointments with less than 24 hours-notice. This is not billable to insurance.
Reports and copies of records: Copies are $0.50 per page. Postage varies. $135.00 per hour for non-court related document/report preparation.
Other Fees: If you become involved in legal proceedings that require my participation, you will be expected to pay for my professional time and services even if I have been called to testify by another party. Because of the difficulty of legal involvement and the interruption to my regular practice, I charge the following:
Legal Rates and Fee Schedule
Lawyer Consultation $250.00 hr
District Attorney preparation/consult $250.00 hr
Testimony Delivery $250.00 hr
Missed Work $110.00 hr
Driving Time $110.00 hr
Postponements $110.00 hr
Per mile $000.58 mi
Testimony is Expert based on clinical observation.
Additional charges will be incurred if time is invested and above schedule does not reflect specific event.
Certain reasonable windows of time allotted to testimony and available on call status to be called to testify should be identified to protect current clientele from abandonment and possible harm due to extended period of absence.
A $500.00 advance payment will be requested at the time I learn of a scheduled court event date and is due two weeks before the scheduled court date.

Insurance
I accept the following insurances at this time "in-network" :
How does Out-of-Network work?***
The following information is important to consider before you make the decision to involve your insurance carrier for reimbursement for your counseling:
Confidentiality: Insurance carriers require some information regarding your reason for treatment before processing your claim. Managed care companies require detailed information about the reason you are seeking treatment, your symptoms, history, family and work life.
Mental Health Diagnosis: Health Insurance is designed to pay for the treatment of illness. Therefore a mental health diagnosis must be provided to the insurance carrier before most companies will pay for your counseling.
Control of Care: Managed care companies use your personal health information to decide if mental health treatment is medically necessary, what types of therapy is approved and how long treatment should continue. The people making these decisions about your treatment often have limited training.
- Anthem
- Maine Community Health Options
- Harvard Pilgrim
- Optum
- UMR
